Prayer means making yourself totally vulnerable in order to submit yourself to God.  Most people like to feel in control of their situations, and it is human nature to want to feel a sense of empowerment through our own actions.  Prayer takes away that barrier.<br />

Here’s a brief look at some of the different methods of water purification available today.  <br/><br/>Distillation is very old water purification technology, but it is still commonly used.  It was first developed, not as one of the methods of water purification, but to create alcohol.  In archaeological excavations from Pakistan to South Asia, alcohol distillers have been found.  A simple explanation of the process follows.  <br/><br/>Liquid is brought to a boil and it vaporizes.  The vapor travels through a tube, where it enters another chamber, cools down and once again becomes a liquid.  Anything that has a higher boiling point than the liquid or cannot be vaporized in the steam remains in the first pot.  <br/><br/>This is one of the methods of water purification that leaves the minerals behind and causes an acid pH.  It has been learned that for drinking purposes, de-mineralization and acid pH levels are not healthy.  <br/><br/>Advancements in water purification technology have aimed at removing chemical and biological contaminants, without destroying the natural mineral content and pH level.  <br/><br/>Reverse osmosis is often touted as the latest in water purification technology, when in fact it has been around for at least 50 years.  It was developed for use in industries and large scale treatment facilities.  In the 1970s, it became popularized as one of the healthiest methods of water purification for the home.  <br/><br/>It was truly a boon to water purification technology, since it can be used to remove salt.  In coastal areas and island communities, this is an important and desirable feature.  Basically, it works by pressurizing and forcing liquids through a porous membrane.  The size of the pores determines what is removed and what travels through.  <br/><br/>RO is another of the methods of water purification that de-mineralizes, so not the healthiest for drinking.  There are several other disadvantages to the system.  It creates wastewater that cannot be used for drinking or other purposes.  It operates slowly and requires electrical energy.  <br/><br/>Chemical contaminants, such as we face today are not removed.  And, additional steps are required to remove bacteria and bacterial cysts.  For home purifiers, water purification technology has advanced beyond this method.  <br/><br/>In most of our homes, the liquid that flows from our kitchen taps has been through a number of methods of water purification. The technology has gotten better and new techniques have evolved.  Here, we look at water purification technology, both old and new.  <br/><br/>Here are some of the methods of water purification that exist today.  <br/><br/>1.  Distillation was one of the first methods of water purification, but it still deserves mention.  You bring the liquid to a boil, in order to turn it into vapor.  It is sent to another container and then allowed to cool.  All impurities with a boiling point above 100°C remain in the original container, but any impurities with a boiling point near or below 100°C pass through to the secondary container.  So, some chemical contaminants are not removed with this water purification technology.  <br/><br/>2.  Activated carbon filtration is a water purification technology that removes chemical contaminants by taking out many compounds.  When used as home filters sometimes a little silver is added, causing the release of silver ions for an anti bacterial effect.  When silver is used, the water purification technology is referred to as GAC or granular activated carbon.  Chemicals and other contaminants are trapped on the surface of the filter.  <br/><br/>3.  Sub micron filtration is one of the better methods of water purification.  This can be achieved with either a synthetic membrane or a ceramic one which could be reused up to fifty times with regular cleaning.  It offers 100% cyst removal and 99. 99% E Coli removal.  Cysts are bacterial contaminants during the spore stage of development when they are particularly resistant to chlorine.  Silver is used in this water purification technology, as well, because of its anti bacterial effect.  <br/><br/>4.  Reverse osmosis is a water purification process where a liquid is pressurized mechanically and run through a semi porous membrane to clean out debris.  The disadvantages are that it is slow and wasteful.  Also if the membranes are not cleaned often, they develop algae.  <br/><br/>5.  Electro-deionization is usually one of the methods of water purification, that must be followed by additional steps to provide something safe to drink.  This water purification technology involves a system called &#8220;ion exchange&#8221;.  It has no effect on &#8220;non-ionic&#8221; contaminates, which include microbes, bacteria and cysts.  <br/><br/>6.  Ultra-filtration is one of the newer methods of water purification.  It uses a chemically formed artificial membrane customized to target specific types of micro organisms dependent upon their size.  <br/><br/>In order to be complete, a water purification technology must include numerous steps.  You may already see why.  Some methods of water purification disinfect or kill bacteria, while other methods remove chemical contaminants.  <br/><br/>Public treatment facilities usually use chlorine for disinfection.  Then, at the point of use, aware citizens will use carbon filtration to remove the chlorine. With the increasing density and effectiveness of the current chips the amount of heat generated by these chips is also increasing.  To cope with the enormous heat, new technologies will be needed in future to cool the integrated chips that produces much more heat than the current microprocessors. Such a new technology has been developed at Purdue University that uses &#8220;microjets&#8221; to deposit liquid into tiny channels.  This technology is able to remove five times more heat than other experimental high-performance chip-cooling methods.  <br/><br/>The conventional computer chips usually generate about 100 watts per square centimeter.  The chips are air-cooled with finned metal plates called heat sinks and often a small CPU fan.  Most of the liquid-cooling techniques are limited to a cooling capacity of about 200 watts per square centimeter.  However the new microjet technology is able to cool chips that generate more than 1,000 watts of heat per square centimeter.  With its help new doors in the advancement of chips technology can be opened. This technology is a combination of two cooling methods, the microjets and microchannels, hence called a hybrid system.  The microjets cools uniformly because the liquid is supplied in the form of jets everywhere along the length of each channel.  It helps to prevent any part of chips from overheating.  The coolant is collected at either ends of the channels and is circulated back through the system. The channels in this cooling system is narrower than a millimeter, or thousandth of a meter wide.  They are formed on top of a chip and covered with a metal plate.  This metallic plate has tiny holes through which the coolant is pumped in microjets, and then the liquid flows along channels to cool the chip.  When the coolant gets heated by the hot chip inside the channels, it bubbles and becomes a vapor, easing the cooling process. This new technology uses a hydrofluorocarbon as the cooling liquid.  It is a dielectric and will not conduct electricity or cause short circuits.  However hydroflurocarbons are not very efficient coolants and their heat conductivity is far lower than water.  But they avoid electrical short circuits and are environmentally better than other coolants.  They have low global-warming effects and are not harmful to the ozone layer in the earth&#8217;s atmosphere.  <br/><br/></p>

Information of higher density is recorded at an angle that is relative to edge of the AIT data tape reel.  Loop of the AIT-4 backup tape drive is closed and the tape path is adjusted by the “self adjusting” mechanism that helps in accurate and highly precise tracking of the data tape.  New and unique system of ATF (auto-tracking following) has been added to the AIT-4 tape drive which improves the tape drive’s effectiveness.  For tape flutter, the servo adjusts itself and therefore it enables the space between the tracks to be much nearer when recording the data onto the tape reel.  <br/><br/>The tape head (MIG metal in gap) of the Sony AIT4 tape drive is redesigned and enhanced.  The average life of the AIT tape head is about 50,000 hours.  AIT4 tape drive has mechanism for controlling the tape tension.  It controls the tension of tape reel at one half.  The other mechanisms of helical scan and the innovative tape head geometry help to further reduce the pressure between the tape media and head.  The servo mechanism controls and monitors the fluctuations in the tape tension and helps in reduction of wear &#038; tear of both the tape head and tape reel.  <br/><br/>Sony AIT5 backup tape format is now even more robust and reliable as it has the new AME-III technology.  The AME-III feature (Advanced Metal Evaporated) has incredibly enhanced the data storage ability and the data density.  The other data tape formats paint the magnetic particle merely so this makes 50 percent of the magnetic material active.  In AME technology, cobalt is used which is then vaporized and is applied directly on to the AIT tape reel.  So the AME technology results in almost 100 percent pure magnetic material in the AIT data tape format.  AIT tape cartridges suffer less from loss of data because of the AME technology as they loose less magnetic particles.  It is because of the AME technology that the Sony AIT5 data tape media has remarkable 400,000 hours of life at duty cycle of 100%.  Sony AIT-5 has ability of end-to-end passes of 30,000.  <br/><br/>Sony AIT5 backup tape technology offers numerous advantageous and reliable features one of which the most important feature is the WORM (write once read many) technology.  Backed up information on the tape cartridge cannot be wiped out or changed but access to the data is possible with the WORM technology in the AIT 5 tape format.  WORM is very cost effective and beneficial for the storage of archive regulated and sensitive data.  Sony AIT5 tape format provides all the advantages of WORM media technology.  All the generations of AIT (advanced intelligent tape) format including the fifth generation AIT5 tape format has memory chip (MIC) in the AIT data tape cartridges.  Memory in cassette (MIC) is non-volatile chip.  MIC is built in the AIT tape cartridge.  MIC enables the AIT tape media in fast searching of data and quick loading of tape media.  <br/><br/>AIT tape media does not keep on tape index it rather maintains the information of system log, tape status, file index, backup information, user definable information and cartridge history.
